June is Great Outdoors Month, and conveniently, June 18th is Fishing Day and Picnic Day! We’re going to cover some of the fish types that you’ll find in the Lake of the Ozarks, as well as a few prime spots for enjoying a wonderful picnic. This week’s forecast looks a little grim - but you still have the rest of the month to make the most of these fun ways to get outdoors! Common Fish Species in the Lake of the Ozarks Largemouth Bass Size: Total length: 10 to 20 inches; weight: ½ to 4½ pounds; maximum about 24 inches and 15 pounds. Blue Catfish Size: Total length: 20-44 inches; weight: 3-40 pounds. Fish weighing 80-100 pounds are occasionally caught. Walleye Adult length: 12–28 inches; weight: 8 ounces to 8 pounds.
