30th Annual Shootout
This year was the 30th year of this fun event. It brings out all of the luxury yachts and expensive boats at the Lake of the Ozarks! It's a great way to get out on the Lake, make some new friends, enjoy the company of older ones, and support a great cause. This even is one of the largest unsanctioned boat races in the US, and it's named one of the nation's eight "must-see" boating events according to Powerboat Magazine. The Shootout took place at Captain Ron's Bar & Grill in Sunrise Beach this year, and it raises funds for eight Lake-area rescue teams and other charitable ogranizations. Last year $200,000.00 was raised and given to 28 different charities and 8 Fire Departments. If you missed the event this year, you'll have to catch it next year! Grab your Luxury Lake of the Ozarks boat and make plans to be down here next year.Photo Credit: FunLake.com |
