Fall Fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks

The fall season is one of the most popular times to get out on the water and get the catch of a lifetime. From September to November, there will be lots of activity happening on the water. While it may not be teeming with people, sport boats, and wakeboards, the waters will be teeming with fish. As the temperatures being to get cooler, and the trees start showing off their exceptional colors, fall fishing can be some of the best times to get out. Catfish, black bass, the white/hybrid bass all start to get active and provide for some fun fall fishing!

Fall Golfing at the Lake of the Ozarks

If you didn’t know, the Lake of the Ozarks was voted the 2nd best place to view the fall colors in the country last year in a poll from USA Today. In addition, we have exceptional golf courses around the Lake, so if you combine the two, you are looking at some amazing rounds. In fact, the Lake of the Ozarks is the Midwest’s premier golf destination, which makes for the perfect reason to plan on staying your luxury vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks this fall. Enjoy playing on a course designed by Arnold Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, Fred Farley, Ken Kavanaugh, Robert Trent Jones Sr., Nicklaus, or Von Hagge/Devlin. The natural beauty that surrounds these golf courses is made up of breathtaking scenery, places that are carved out of rock bluffs and forests, and perfectly set on the shores of our beautiful lake. It sounds picture perfect if you ask us.

Fall Hunting at the Lake of the Ozarks

For anyone who enjoys the sport of hunting, the Lake of the Ozarks can offer an exceptional setting for enjoyment. The woods and fields surrounding the Lake area are filled with a wide variety of game, and during prescribed hunting seasons, the most common are deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, dove, duck, geese, and quail. The area has a growing population of both deer and turkey, making them the most popular. Looking for a trophy-sized buck? There is a good chance you will find one in the woods of the Lake of the Ozarks. The majority of hunting in the Lake of the Ozarks is done on private land, whether owned by you or with permission of the landowner. There are some hunting perseveres as well who will offer land-lease packages for hunting.
